Summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER in the Total Force Management (TFM) Program Office (N1), Civil Service Mariner (CIVMAR) Management Division (N12), Afloat Community Branch (N12B) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.
Duties
Help
- You will establish and adjust strategic goals for CIVMAR development and placement across all CIVMAR communities.
- You will oversee the execution of placement and training functions for CIVMAR requirements and enable systemic policy-based and procedural conflicts and developing policies, procedures, and operational solutions for manning and training requirements.
- You will analyze existing practices and policies while regularly updating and improving approaches for CIVMAR placement and training.
- You will monitor business operations and systems affecting afloat personnel to ensure that they are effective and in compliance with command policies, instructions, fiscal requirements, and USCG, and applicable maritime regulations.
- You will ensure that personnel policies, shipboard manning, operations, policies and procedures, and quality management system (QMS) and safety management systems are followed.
- You will promote and enable leadership concepts through active engagement, mentorship, and communication with community managers and subordinate teams.
- You will demonstrate ownership of problems and solution sets for the placement and training programs across all communities.
- You will make decisions based upon work problems presented by subordinate supervisors.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following :
