Location : Boston, Massachusetts

We are seeking a Performance Engineering Specialist who goes beyond traditional performance testing. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in large-scale, cloud-native environments and is passionate about observability, capacity planning, and performance optimization using tools like Dynatrace, Datadog, and Splunk.

Job Responsibilities

• Define and implement performance engineering strategies for distributed, cloud-native applications (primarily on AWS).
• Lead observability initiatives using Dynatrace, Datadog, and Splunk to proactively identify performance bottlenecks and system anomalies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable architectures and ensure performance is baked into the design from the ground up.
• Conduct capacity planning and forecasting to ensure systems are right-sized and cost-optimized.
• Analyze system performance metrics and logs to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.
• Partner with DevOps and SRE teams to integrate performance monitoring into CI / CD pipelines.
• Provide deep-dive analysis of performance issues across the middleware Java stack, Oracle DB, messaging systems, and web containers.
• Mentor developers and QA engineers on performance best practices and tooling.

Salary Transparency Language

Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $88837 - $108569 / yearly.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical / dental / vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
