DATTCO is currently searching for a full-time Operations Supervisor for our CREC school bus team in South Windsor, CT. The Operations Supervisor is a key role that coordinates and directs the daily activity of the terminal and is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of all drivers and vehicles. Primary Responsibilities : Responsible for scheduling drivers and effectively dispatching fixed route service and charters Assist drivers with directions and customer itineraries Monitor attendance Answer routine phone calls from the Board of Education, drivers and parents Clerical, filing and reporting duties Responsible for driver’s weekly payroll Interview driver candidates for employment Discipline drivers when necessary Routing Position Requirements : At least one-year transportation experience preferred Strong oral and written communication skills Work well in a fast-paced environment Be flexible and a self-starter Excellent problem-solving skills Team player Good customer and employee relations skills Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and computerized routing software A commercial driver's license (CDL) with P and S endorsements is preferred but not required.
