Opportunity Overview
Lead and mentor a small team of mechanical engineers to develop high-quality hardware for RF and optical test equipment, including chassis, PCB interfaces, RF shields, and enclosures. Responsibilities include :
- Create detailed mechanical designs and documentation.
- Perform tolerance analysis for fit and function.
- Design thermal management solutions, from simulation to integration.
- Use tools like SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation for thermal and structural analysis.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers on mechanical-electrical interface and layout.
- Select materials and manufacturing processes to meet performance targets.
- Engage with vendors for manufacturability, cost, and lead time optimization.
- Build and test prototypes for validation.
- Apply DFM / DFX practices in design.
- Verify designs through testing and reviews.
- Support manufacturing and assembly improvements.
- Manage SolidWorks PDM system.

The salary range is $155,200 - $244,500, depending on experience and location. We offer comprehensive health, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefits.
