We are seeking a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) or Technical Sales Engineer to provide specialized pre-sales and post-sales technical support for a suite of advanced technology products. This role involves working closely with customers to define system requirements, present product capabilities, and support product deployment and integration efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software and an understanding of complex system architectures, including processors, networking, electrical interfaces, and graphics processing.
The position requires collaboration with internal engineering teams and a strong ability to understand and communicate sophisticated technical solutions. Familiarity with radar or vision systems is advantageous; however, comprehensive training will be provided.
Depending on experience and aptitude, this role may also evolve to include sales and business development responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide front-line technical support within established service level agreements (SLAs), and deliver professional technical training to customers.
Ensure customer success and adoption of technologies, particularly for first-time users.
Design and present product demonstrations, proof-of-concept (POC) solutions, and conduct technical workshops and hands-on seminars.
Offer technical guidance to sales teams, evaluate system configurations, and ensure technical compliance during the sales cycle.
Support demand generation by showcasing the product’s capabilities and integration potential through demos and rapid development efforts.
Understand customer needs at an account level, industry-specific influences, and maintain regular engagement with key stakeholders.
Establish strong, face-to-face relationships with engineers and technical decision-makers to become a trusted technical advisor.
Translate high-level business strategies into structured, actionable technical projects to discover new opportunities.
Collaborate with account teams to support and contribute to technical and business strategies, leveraging technical insights to drive mutual success.
Provide product and market feedback to internal stakeholders for continuous improvement and innovation.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
At least 2 years of programming experience (e.g., C++, Java, HTML, .NET).
Hands-on experience with radar systems and EO / IR / PTZ sensor technologies.
Minimum of 2 years in a customer-facing technical role.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Proactive, problem-solving attitude and team-oriented mindset.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Willingness and flexibility to travel on short notice.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience with networking and software tools (e.g., LAN / WAN / IP configuration, UDP / IP, TCP / IP, Wireshark).
Proficiency in electrical engineering concepts : signal measurement, grounding, RS-422, signal termination, etc.
Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
Active or eligible for military security clearance.
