Entry-Level Accountant

We are looking for a motivated Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Hackensack, New Jersey. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting and finance. The role requires strong analytical skills and familiarity with essential accounting functions.

Responsibilities :

Perform accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) tasks, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.

Reconcile bank statements and accounts to maintain accurate financial records.

Assist in preparing and posting accounting entries in compliance with company policies.

Support cost accounting processes by analyzing expenses and ensuring proper allocation.

Utilize Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs to organize and analyze financial data.

Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting procedures and improve efficiency.

Maintain detailed documentation of financial transactions for audit and reporting purposes.

Participate in monthly and quarterly financial close processes.

Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.

Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

Strong understanding of bank and account reconciliations.

Knowledge of basic cost accounting principles and practices.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
