Cardiac Cath Registered Nurse (Full-Time)

This role is responsible for coordinating nursing care for the Cardiac Cath Lab. in accordance with policies and procedures of the nursing dept. Responsibilities include overseeing unlicensed employee activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning care / intervention, patient teaching, and family. Implementation of treatment in cardiology with physician, and nursing direction. The RN must communicate effectively and collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure safe and effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired outcomes. RN with current state license. Call Rotation required. What you will do in this role :

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac patients. What you will need in this role :
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or
• Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including / not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Advanced certifications (i.e. CEN, TNCC, etc.) preferred
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and / or equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a minimum of one year acute care hospital Cath Lab RN experience
